Liverpool fans were greeted to the pleasant, if unsurprising, news that manager Jurgen Klopp has been nominated for the Manager of the Month award for the club’s performances in October.

The Reds completed another unbeaten month and stretched their lead at the top of the table to six points. Klopp’s side earned two wins at home; against Leicester and Spurs, whilst their only away game resulted in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford (as per Sky Sports).

The German manager has already picked up two out of two Manager of the Month awards for Liverpool’s performances in August and September and is looking to make it a clean sweep with the October award.

However, he faces stiff competition from Frank Lampard, Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith for the award, with Rodgers perhaps the favourite after his Leicester side also picked up two wins, including the record-breaking 9-0 win over Southampton.

Some of the best reactions from Liverpool fans to the news can be seen in the tweets below.

Liverpool fans are confident of another win for their German boss, with many already congratulating the 52-year-old on what they believe will be a third straight award.

What do we think?

Klopp has completely revolutionised Liverpool since joining in 2015 and the former Dortmund boss deserves all the plaudits that he continues to get. The German manager has won 133 of his 225 games in charge of the club, and fans will be hoping that he can challenge for another Manager of the Month award in November.
