Ahead of the FA Cup clash against West Brom, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed Simon Mignolet will be the starting keeper.

It was revealed by the boss himself that Mignolet will be starting for the Reds in the fourth round of the FA Cup as the face West Brom.

The Belgian goalkeeper has competition with 24-year-old Danny Ward for the goalkeeper role.

Mignolet has racked up an impressive 155+ appearances for Liverpool after his arrival in 2013.

Danny Ward will more likely now be selected to play in the Under-23 squad.

The Reds currently sit fourth in the Premier League with 47 points, three behind Chelsea.

It seems as though a lot of Liverpool fans aren’t so keen on this decision to have Mignolet play for them in their FA Cup tie.

With this news being revealed we’ve had a look over on Liverpool’s social media to see what the fans thought of it…
