Liverpool have now officially unveiled their new Main Stand, increasing Anfield’s capacity to an impressive 54,074, reports the Telegraph.

All the time put into it has paid off as now we see the product of all the work put into the ground over summer, and even some time during the season which caused Liverpool to switch fixtures so they didn’t have to play at home.

But now the Liverpool squad (minus a few players) can reap their rewards as they have now started training back at Anfield on Thursday, just in time for their next league game against current Premier League champions Leicester City.

Leicester will be sure to be bringing plenty of fans with them, and with Liverpool’s extra 8,000 seats they shouldn’t struggle to house them all.

The Reds have now overtaken the likes of Newcastle’s St. James’ Park in terms of capacity and are sure to bring in an electric atmosphere in all of their upcoming home fixtures.

Liverpool fans.. What are your thoughts of the upcoming Leicester fixture, can the Reds hold out for a home win?
