Nice midfielder, and former Newcastle and Hull player, Hatem Ben Arfa has revealed he is keeping his options open about where he will end up next season.
The 29 year old’s contract with the French club ends this summer and the French international is not ruling out a move to China or another “big club” in Europe. In recent days, French media reports have linked the player with a move to Liverpool. He was quoted by FourFourTwo magazine as saying:
“I don’t like to talk about it. Today everything is possible from going to China to staying at Nice. It is possible. Join a big club in the summer? It’s part of the possibilities too. I have advisors around to protect me from all that. At the moment I focus on the club’s objectives.”
Ben Arfa has found a new lease of life at Nice this campaign, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists in 34 matches. RMC Sport have reported that as the French playmaker is allowed to talk with other clubs because his contract is due to expire, he has already held negotiations with both AC Milan and Liverpool, with the Reds scouting the player at a number of Ligue One matches this season.
