Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli has been having talks with Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev about a move to the Ligue One club, according to Infosport + in France. The Italian has had a torrid second spell with the Rossoneri with injuries hindering his playing time. He has started just 7 games in all competitions this season and has scored only three goals. It has led to speculation that AC Milan will not take up the opportunity to keep the player next season and it looks as though Monaco may be another option for the player.
The 25 year old has started the last two league games though, keeping his place in the side in the 1-0 victory over Sampdoria this weekend in manager Cristian Brocchi’s first game in charge, after also starting last week against leaders Juventus in a 2-1 defeat. Balotelli has declared that he wants to stay with Milan, and has stated that he doesn’t want to return to the Reds:
“I want to stay with Milan because I was not happy at Liverpool and don’t want to go back. I’ve played well in my last two games and there are six left for me to prove what I can do.”
