AC Milan are weighing up whether they want to keep Reds striker Mario Balotelli, according to Tuttosport. The Italian arrived for his second spell at the Rossoneri on loan with the Italian club having agreed no deal to buy him, and they are considering two options according to the Italian newspaper.

  1. They sign Balotelli for another season long loan paying half of the Italian’s wages.
  2. They sign the player on a permanent basis but will try to negotiate a lower fee than the €10million that Liverpool are holding out for.

Balotelli has not had much luck back in Italy this campaign having been out for long spells with injury and he has started only four league games. In all competitions he has scored just three goals from 6 starts and 12 substitute appearances. Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has even questioned whether Balotelli deserves to stay at the club:

“Mario wants to stay here, but I’ve told him that based on what he’s done so far, he doesn’t deserve to stay here. I told him to convince us to keep him here, because we love him. He promised that he’ll do that, and I hope he does.”
