Liverpool are interested in signing Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo, according to Spanish website fichajes.net. The 26 year old, who had spell in England on loan at Queens Park Rangers in 2008, has been out of form this season as the Spanish club have struggled in La Liga, and the Reds are looking at brokering a cut price deal for the player.

According to fichajes.net Liverpool will make an offer below the €10million asking price which Valencia have set for the player as Parejo has been one of the many players who has underperformed as Los Ches have slumped to 15th in the table with 34 points from 31 games played.

Jurgen Klopp is said to have given the green light for the move but Los Ches are hoping to get an agreement in the region of €10-12million, which may be above what the Reds are willing to pay.

Valencia sacked manager Gary Neville and replaced him with former Liverpool Assistant Manager Pako Ayesteran on a temporary basis last week but the change has not changed their fortunes as they lost 2-1 to Las Palmas last Saturday. They face Sevilla in their next fixture at the Mestalla on Sunday.
