Liverpool are among a host of European clubs chasing Rosario Central attacking midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. In late March Argentinian website Ole revealed that Liverpool were among 15 clubs from Europe scouting the youngster while the Daily Star believe that Arsenal are ready to hijack any move for the player after watching him play for Rosario against Palmeiras in a 3-3 draw on in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday night.

Angel Di Maria also started his career at Rosario Central and Lo Celso similarly has a very strong left foot and plays as the playmaker in an attacking midfield role for his Argentinian club side.

He only made his debut at senior level against Velez Sarsfield in a 0-0 draw last July but has already garnered interest from a host of clubs including Manchester City, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in addition to the Reds and the Gunners. Since making his professional debut he has made 22 appearances, scoring one goal and six assists. Rosario Central currently lie second in Group A of Argentina’s Primera Division after nine games with 18 points.
