German side Bayer Leverkusen have entered the race to sign Anderlecht’s midfielder Dennis Praet according to German football magazine Kicker. Liverpool had been reportedly tracking the 21 year old and back in January it was reported in The Mirror that the 2015 Belgian league player of the year would be available for €30million.

However according to Belgian Media, Sud Info have reported that the young midfield star only has one year left on his contract. This has led Kicker to assert that Leverkusen are looking to land the youngster for a cut price €10million this summer. The German club have  scouted the Anderlecht four times in the space of a month and are also interested Youri Tielemans but the price for the 18 year old who is considered one of the Belgium’s brightest young stars is said to be prohibitive for the Bundeliga side who sit 5th after 28 games, a massive 27 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.

Praet can play either in central midfield or on the left or right hand side. He made his debut for Belgium in a 3-1 victory against Iceland in November 2014 coming on as a 76th minute substitute for Reds striker Christian Benteke
