Reports on Monday suggested that Barcelona winger Adama Traore was headed to Liverpool for a medical but The ECHO’s James Pearce has squashed that speculation but saying that Liverpool are not interested in signing the player.
If Traore has left Barcelona to go to England, it is being suggested that he will be joining Stoke or Aston Villa.
This news does not come as a huge surprise as Liverpool currently have enough options available to cover the position Traore can play. One can not see Brendan Rodgers playing with two out-and-out wingers at the same time, thus Traore’s game time at Anfield would have been limited as Jordan Ibe is clearly the first choice winger at the club right now following the departure of Raheem Sterling.
It is being suggested that Liverpool have finished their transfer dealings for the summer but I believe we are still one central midfielder light and a left back short.
