Liverpool have joined Chelsea with interest in Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, who is ready to leave the Etihad stadium.
Premier League champions Chelsea have explored the possibility of signing Bosnian striker Dzeko this summer after he was made available for transfer by Man City.
And, it is now understood that the Blues will be joined by Liverpool in the race to sign the striker.
Liverpool are keen to sign a new goalscorer after failing to get the best out of Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli this season, whilst Daniel Sturridge has struggled with injuries.
Dzeko has been linked with a summer exit after having limited playing time at the Etihad stadium this season, making just 11 Premier League starts in which he has scored four times.
Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have also been interested and seem the viable option for whom City will sell too.
