Manchester City are ready to make a £55m move for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, according to Sunday People.

The England international is currently stalling on a new contract with the Merseyside club as holds for a better financial package and awaits developments in interest from linked clubs.

La Liga duo Barcelona and Real Madrid have been interested, although the former are banned from making transfers until January 2016 and the latter have identified other transfer targets for the summer.

Man City and Chelsea, however, remain keen, and the former could be ready to make a summer move, with a bid in the region of £55m planned.

However, it is understood that the youngster is house hunting in London, prompting speculation that he could be on his way to champions Chelsea or Arsenal, although a move to the latter would see the likes of Theo Walcott be moved on from the Emirates.

What are your thoughts on Sterling, do you want him to stay at the club or leave?

If we can get 55 mil for him then I’ll drive him to wherever he wants to go…he’s not worth 20 mil on current form / scoring. Sell.

This goes to show how little loyalty is in the game today. Liverpool gives Sterling his chance and make him what he is today, yet he can come out like this and leave when he knows LFC gives him plenty of playing time and to be a part of something special. This is all about the money.
