Liverpool are set to welcome Brazilian legend Pele to Anfield for Sunday’s game with Manchester United.
Pele is widely considered to be the best footballer of all time, and will be there to witness fellow countryman Philippe Coutinho in action on Sunday, hoping he can continue his fine form of recent weeks.
The 74-year-old featured in an advert with Reds striker Daniel Sturridge prior to last summer’s World Cup, and will arrive at Anfield as a guest of Subway – Liverpool’s official training food partner.
The Reds go into Sunday’s game two points behind their bitter rivals, knowing a victory will seem them move above Louis van Gaal’s side and into the top four for the first time since the opening month of the season.
