Fernando Torres says he is looking forward to returning to Anfield for the all-star charity game later this month.
The Spanish striker left the Reds for a fee of £50million in January 2011, and has returned to face his former club three times since with Chelsea.
Torres – now at Atletico Madrid – fired 81 goals in 142 appearances for the club, and is one of the biggest names to feature in the Anfield fundraiser.
He tweeted: “It will be fantastic to be back at Anfield and meet a lot of friends. Thx (sic) Gerrard for the invite.”
