Jamie Carragher has labelled former Liverpool striker El-Hadji Diouf as the worst player he has played alongside in his career.
Diouf was signed in the summer of 2002 for a fee of £10million – painfully as an alternative to Nicolas Anelka – and went on to score just three Premier League goals in 55 appearances for the club – and produced no shortage of controversy.
Carragher said: “The worst has to be El Hadji Diouf.
“Actually, I quite enjoyed playing against him as you could kick him them – can’t kick your own players.”
And this is coming from a man who also played alongside Andriy Voronin.
