Liverpool’s record-breaking kit deal with New Balance will allow the club to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Borussia Dortmund duo Marco Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer, according to the Daily Star.
The deal with the American sportsewear brand is predicted to earn the Reds £300million over six years, and means they can avoid the perils of Financial Fair Play and make some serious investments.
France striker Benzema has previously been linked with a £50million switch to Anfield, whilst the sales of Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini will contribute towards the fee.
Marco Reus and Mkhitaryan are both long term targets, with the latter set to leave struggling Dortmund in the summer according to the players agent.
Mino Raiola, said: “Henrikh wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season. We will have to wait and see what we can do.”
Reus meanwhile is set to see his well documented £20million buy-out-clause become active at the end of the season.
These signings may well depend on whether the Reds manage Champions League qualification however, with Brendan Rodgers men currently sitting four points outside the top four in seventh place.
With 100mill kitty why not get everyone’s contact sorted including Gerrard and work with the players we have just my opinion
time to move on to greater things…. come on reds!!
get ter stegen ,a c.b,a d.m from roma ,get lacazette not benzema and get reus not mikihikitarawaraaaaagh .Train lovern on his passing bring back illori .. Ter stegen as no.1 mignolet to play domestic cups . In the middle play can with henderson .play moreno and flannagan/ markovic as wing backs and witg sturridge you will have a choice of lacazette sterling reus coutinho lallana ..all can adapt to any formation and play as wingers ..with just a couple of additions for the first time in a long time we will have a strong 18-20 players….anyone see markovic brother by the way ..look him up could be a bargain buy
Why not use that money to expand Anfield even further? Expand the KOP so that it can take 25000 fans. I think that is what we should do. Players will be here for a few years but Anfield for decades or centuries!
