Liverpool are ready to battle a host of European sides for the signature of 19-year-old Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom, according to the Daily Star.
The promising young forward is out of contract at the Emirates in the summer, and the Reds are said to have registered their interest in completing a free transfer.
Brendan Rodgers has been monitoring Akpom for some time, whilst Manchester City, Everton and Tottenham are also interested.
Akpom – who came off the bench during Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Brighton at the weekend – has also been offered pre-contract deals at Borussia Dortmund, and Dutch duo FC Twente and Feyenoord.
Akpom has found first team opportunities limited at the Emirates after making his debut in 2013.
Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott, and the on loan Yaya Sanogo have all been selected ahead of him this season.
