It’s all become far too painfully predictable at Liverpool.

Reports this week suggested we were the clear favourites to land Xherdan Shaqiri – but deep down none of us believed them.

Too many times Liverpool have missed out on their top transfer targets, and something needs to seriously be looked at.

The Bayern Munich man would have been a fine addition to this Liverpool side, and for a cut price fee.

Yet for whatever reason, Shaqiri will now be plying his trade at Inter Milan, and it’s back to the drawing board for Ian Ayre and his useless team.

Here is a list of the transfer targets Liverpool have missed out on in recent times, which begs the question as to how Ayre still has a job at Anfield?

I’m sorry, but this director of ours is an absolute joke, he’s like a used car salesman of the football world. When are LFC going to wake up and smell the coffee when it comes to transfers, good players cost big money…..Shaquiri was a decent player and worth at least £13-14 mil…..No lose out to inter is another desgrace which shows how far in the footballing world this club has slipped. …..I’m just waiting for the announcment that Gerrards replacment will be Gareth Barry or something like that………truly depressing times as a reds fan.

  6. Rayhans says:

Gareth Barry , free transfer ,,oh sir Mr Ian Ayre is a rapid man in such type of transfer …

It amazes me the abuse Brenden gets for transfers when this clown is in charge for sealing deals. How different would our season be if he’d have convinced Costa and Sanchez to sign.

Ah well, if we miss out on Liverpool fan Oddegard (Sp?) and Shaqiri, and if we lose Sterling, at least we’ll get Milner…

how depressing, almost tempted to want to bring back Rick Parry

  8. Rayhans says:

Suarez sold for Balotelli ? Or the matters for Sponship or the sponship player signing ? what a bargain

  9. Rayhans says:

gerard leave ,that’s the biggest trophy for heartbreak we fans , see Ryan Giggs ending career such honest its a tribute for all he did for UTD and us oh God I better stop thought I wont waste my time for such a fool

Ayre has been useless in the transfer market ever since he was appointed as CEO. He can get Dunkin Donuts and other ‘great’ deals but he has no charisma. Players take on look at him and think ‘Is this plank the face of LFC? No thanks!’

  11. elias says:

Ayre n rodgers are to blame for the likes of bony , erikssen , even letting suso out is foolish… Gerrard is easy to replace but we have a bad scouting team. See how as roma ,dortmund, atletico, napoli, juventus , newcastle, shakter, sevila, benifica, porto etc have build world class midfielders but use less money

Do the photo agencies know you’re using their images illegally?

  14. Jerry says:

Agreed. He is not winning over the first choice transfer targets and keeps over-paying for sub-standard 2nd rated choices and add to the fact that Rodgers is not a big-name manager.

  15. Geoff Price says:

If this is true then it would be great news, but don’t forget the other useless piece of information Rodgers this is top priority to remove the two IMPOSTERS from this club once and for all.
