Rafael Benitez has raised further questions regarding his future, claiming he has offers on the table should he choose to leave Napoli at the end of the season.

The Spaniard has been previously linked with a return to manage Liverpool, with Brendan Rodgers future uncertain after a dreadful first half of the season.

Some reports in November went as far to suggest owners Fenway Sports Group had already begun identifying replacements for Rodgers, with Benitez believed to be amongst the candidates.

And the Champions League winning coach has added fuel to the speculation, with his claims he has offers on the table.

Benitez said on his future with Napoli: “I spoke with the club’s president, and in a few months we will address my future.

“I do not want distractions, we must stay focused right now, but later we will see.

“I have a few offers but I’m busy here and, I repeat, I will talk with the president in a few months.”

Thank you amaechi. Gerrard is actually leaving the club not because he cannot play for LFC any more but because he can not continue to play under a confused coach. Rodger is confused himself and so Gerrad has move on
