Liverpool have been dealt a fresh injury blow, with the news Adam Lallana has been ruled out of action for a month with a thigh injury.
Lallana was forced off during the 2-2 draw with Leicester City on New Years Day, and the results of a scan on the injury show the 26-year-old is set to be out of action until early February.
Lallana had been enjoying his longest run in the Liverpool starting XI since signing from Southampton for £25million in the summer, and hit his third and fourth goals of the season in the recent 4-1 win over Swansea.
He had become a crucial part of the front three in Brendan Rodgers new 3-4-3 system, however he know looks set to miss the Reds Capital One Cup semi final double header with Chelsea, as well as the FA Cup ties and several Premier League clashes.
