Liverpool’s Top 5 goals of 2014

Adam Lallana v Swansea

Liverpool v Swansea City - Barclays Premier League

A goal which came in the Reds final match of 2014, Adam Lallana’s second in the 4-1 win over Swansea was not only a classy goal – it also gave Reds fans plenty of reasons to feel positive heading into the second half of the season.

Brendan Rodgers appears to have stumbled across a front three of Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling to get Liverpool’s attacking threat back, and all were involved in the goal which ultimately saw off Garry Monk’s side at Anfield.

Coutinho’s first time back heel was sublime, whilst the run of Raheem Sterling in that central striker position created a bit of room for Lallana. The £25million man dummied his way past two defenders before firing across the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner in front of the Kop, to cap a superb night for him, and a beautiful team goal.
