The agent of Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perrin says Liverpool have been in touch over the prospect of a £12million move.
Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for a new number one, having dropped Simon Mignolet for the forseeable future after a string of poor performances from the Belgian goalkeeper.
And 22-year-old Perrin has emerged as a possible replacement, with agent Moreno Roggi admitting talks have already taken place.
‘There has been contact with Liverpool,’ he said.
‘For Perin I can only imagine a future abroad. I would like him to remain in Italy, but only clubs from abroad can afford him.
‘England? It’s a possibility.’
