Liverpool target Martin Montoya will “100 per cent” be leaving Barcelona this winter, according to the players agent.
The Reds have been a long term admirer of the Spaniard, who could be set to move to Anfield as a replacement for Glen Johnson.
Johnson is out of contract at the end of the season, and is free to talk to other clubs when the window opens in January.
Liverpool are yet to offer him a new deal, and 23-year-old Montoya could be seen as the ideal replacement, with agentĀ Juan de Dios Carrasco hinting a deal could be possible.
“Montoya will 100 per cent leave Barcelona in the winter window,” he said. “Right now we just want to find the best club for Martin, so he can continue his progression.
“Germany, Italy and England all have clubs that are already pulling strings to sign him.”
