Liverpool have once again been linked with a January move for Iker Casillas, following the latest blunder from Simon Mignolet.
The Express claims the Reds will try and tempt the Real Madrid legend to the Premier League in January, with Brendan Rodgers said to have lost faith in his Belgian goalkeeper.
Mignolet has come under fire for a series of below par performances this season. Liverpool legend Bruce Grobelaar said the keeper was ‘worse than Dracula’ earlier in the week, whilst Jamie Carragher suggested he should be taken out of the first team following his howler in Bulgaria.
And that has seen stories linking Casillas with a move to Anfield intensify, with the 33-year-old’s first team place under pressure from Costa Rica World Cup star Keylor Navas.
Reports suggest the Reds will battle with Arsenal for the signature of the World Cup winning captain in January, with a loan offer that can be made into a permanent deal in the summer.
