Summer signing Divock Origi says he would be keen to cut his season long loan spell with Lille short and come to Liverpool in January, according to various reports.

Brendan Rodgers beat a host of clubs to the signing of the 19-year-old striker in the summer, and has since claimed the Belgian international has all the tools to become ‘world class’ for the Reds.

Rather than be intimidated by such a claim, it seems Origi is relishing the prospect of arriving at Anfield as quickly as possible to show what he can do.

“It is not me who makes the decisions but if the club choose to let me go in January, I would join Liverpool,” Origi told reporters.

“I said that I would stay for the whole season and I wish to remain honourable to that, of course.

“But if there was a decision by the clubs, I would not say that I would not like to go to Liverpool in January.

“I would love to move to Liverpool sooner rather than later.

“I can’t wait to be playing in the Premier League because I can now see that it will suit me better. I think there are good things waiting for me with Liverpool.”

Stay where you are son Brendan is probably planning on playing you in goals knowing he’s mental selection and positioning of players.
