Daniel Sturridge says he hopes to return to the Liverpool first team for their next fixture away at Crystal Palace.

Sturridge has missed 14 matches for the Reds in all competitions, making his last appearance in the 0-3 win over Tottenham on August 31.

He has been sorely missed by Brendan Rodgers side, who have suffered seven defeats in his absence, whilst fellow strikers Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini are yet to score in the Premier League.

“I’ll be ready for that one, God willing,” Sturridge told BT Sport when asked if he’d be fit for the match aat Selhurst Park which follows the international break. He added: “It’s the worst feeling to be honest but that’s football. Everyone picks injuries up.”

Sturridge fired 21 Premier League goals last season, and has managed one in three appearances this term.

Over 100 million spent and not winning games is a wake up call for liverpool to realise that brenden rogers isn’t the right manager for such a big successful club. Utd fans did the right thing by flying banners for a new manager and liverpool fans should demand the same as if rogers wants to build a team for the future then he rather go manage a team in the championship and get them ready for the premier league as by the time he’s built liverpool for the future utd chelsea arsenal and city will be miles ahead of the rest. Markovic is weak and clearly doesn’t warrant the price tag liverpool paid for him. Sterling is quick granted that but has no ball skills to take on opposition like how suarez did. Ballotelli borini and lambert all seem to be confused as to which team they playing for when they on the field. Now liverpool wanted bony who is non the better I mean did anyone really look at that guys movement. Why aren’t liverpool looking at talent like charlie austin as he has a tremendous work rate and is always making space for team mates to find him.. Couthino allen and new boy Can cannot control the midfield and gerards days are past so maybe a isco or sandro and song in there and the defence well a whole new defence and keeper if we want to win games. Suarez and torres the best we’ve had in the past few yrs left us so time to think about why they left also sanchez refused to join us so clearly we have problems. We wanted champions league soccer we got it only to be made to look like a 3rd tier side in a premier league game. Benitez was good martinez can be better or even a simeone is what we need. Not a building for the future always happy with players attutude manager we have now

You are a mug, go support City or Chelsea.
Sterling has no skill? He’s 20. Marcovic is also 20 so think about what your saying before you go posting trash
Fly a plane over Anfield? You really are a retard and we will be better off without supports like you

Our strikers have no Premier league goals between them so let’s see what happens when Sturrage returns
