Jose Mourinho has hit back at Luis Suarez’ claims he told his Chelsea players to waste time during their 2-0 win at Anfield last season.

In Suarez’ new autobiography, the former Liverpool striker claimed he had been told by an unnamed Chelsea player that Mourinho had instructed his team to waste time in the hope of getting a result that would damage the Reds chances of a first title in 24 years.

“Another book? Books? Have you read the books? I don’t,” Mourinho told a press conference on Friday.

“At 51 years old maybe I have enough stories to write a book, but I don’t. But when you are 20 or 25 you write a book of what? Of when you were a kid?

“I have offers to do a book of 100 pictures I chose of my career and where I make just a little comment. But not a book to tell s*** and to criticise people and speak negative things about people.”

But you did instruct your players to waste time and use horrible anti football spoiling tactics , taking a full minute to take throw ins and goal kicks clinging on to the ball on the touch line and to just hope you get a bit of luck which you did when Stevie slipped . No problem when people wrote it was a footballing masterclass was there ? And you know it wasn’t one of them . You know you got lucky that day . Mind you you have had lots of luck these past 10 years . Enough to fill a book , and you could always pad it out with pics of you looking sultry and moody and smouldering for your fans in ” Fleet Street “
