Napoli are reportedly weighing up a January move for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, according to the Daily Star.

And the report suggests Liverpool are interested in making the move possible, as Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing West Bromwich Albion starlet Saido Berahino.

Balotelli is yet to score in the Premier League this season, and has cut a forlon figure in recent weeks.

Former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is ready to offer him a return to Napoli this January, in a cut price £10million deal, with Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuian being consistently linked with a move away from the Naples outfit.

Brendan Rodgers would be willing to oversee the sale of Balotelli, as he looks to fund a move for England Under-21 star Berahino, who currently sits third in the Premier League scoring charts with seven goals to his name.

However, a move will not be straightforward, with Baggies boss Alan Irvine saying the club would not listen to offers below £25million for the talented forward.
