Italy legend Alessandro Del Piero has offered advice for Liverpool’s struggling striker Mario Balotelli, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 24-year-old has managed just one goal in 11 games since completing a £16million move from AC Milan in the summer, and missed a glorious chance to score a last minute winner in during Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Hull City at Anfield.
And Juventus legend Del Piero has offered some words of advice for his fellow countryman.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Del Piero said: “If anything I can give a general overview that also applies to Mario. Between the mind and technique, the mind is more important.
“You need to send a signal to the outside that you are really involved. It’s important, as it shows you are playing with heart and giving your all, trying to do the right thing.
“You have to put yourself up for the challenge every single day. Face every training session as if it were a final.”
