Brendan Rodgers will look to rectify the goal scoring problems at Anfield in January, with big money bids for Gonzalo Higuain of Napoli and Ezequiel Lavezzi of Paris St Germain.
Summer signings Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert have proved a major disappointment so far, with just one goal between them.
The Express claims the Reds have already launched a £31.2million bid for Gonzalo Higuain, who is said to be unhappy at Napoli.
Arsenal have previously been linked with the Argentine forward.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star reckons Liverpool are set to battle the Gunners for the £30million signing of Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Reds were looking to sign the Argentine forward in the summer, however the deal fell through when PSG failed to sign Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid.
Lavezzi was offered for a price of £16million in the summer, and at 29 years of age it is likely the Reds could sign the forward for much cheaper than the £30million being quoted.
