Liverpool are said to be amongst the favourites to secure the signing of Paris St Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to talkSPORT.

The Argentine is keen to leave the French capital in January, having fallen down the pecking order under Laurent Blanc.

Liverpool were interested in securing his signature in the summer, but saw the deal fall through when PSG failed to land a replacement in the form of Angel Di Maria, who opted for a £59million move to Manchester United.

Reports in Italy suggest Lavezzi is keen to move as early as January, which will alert Liverpool who are still keen to bolster their attacking options following the loss of Luis Suarez.

Napoli and are said to be keen on bringing the 29-year-old back to Serie A, the club where Lavezzi previously spent five years before moving to PSG in a £21million deal in 2011.

Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Fernabache are also said to be monitoring the situation, but Napoli and Liverpool are understood to be the favourites for his signature.
