Lazar Markovic has added to Liverpool’s injury woes, after becoming the latest player to sustain an injury whilst on international duty.
The Serb was forced off after just 25 minutes of his country’s European Championship qualifier with Armenia with a suspected muscle tear.
The 20-year-old will undergo further tests, but the initial worry for Liverpool fans is that he could be missing for up to a month.
Markovic has become the fifth player to be injured for the Reds whilst on international duty this season, and will add further to Brendan Rodgers concerns.
Dejan Lovren was injured with Croatia earlier this week, whilst Emre Can, Joe Allen and Daniel Sturridge all returned from the last round of international fixtures with injuries that have prevented them from featuring for the Reds since.
