Real Madrid are plotting a move for Liverpool star Raheem Sterling, according to widespread reports today.

The 19-year-old has caught the attention of the Spanish giants, after a superb 2014 for both club and country.

Sterling fired 10 goals in all competitions last season as the Reds narrowly missed out on the Premier League title, whilst the young forward has struck three in his opening seven matches in all competitions this season.

And having shone for England during a disappointing World Cup campaign, Real Madrid have taken note of the fact that at just 19-years-of-age, Sterling is a frightening prospect for the future.

The rumours are fuelled by the fact Sterling is on a contract worth £30,000 a week – considerably less than the majority of his teammates.

Brendan Rodgers has previously said a new deal is being worked on for the youngster, which may now well a priority having heard of the interest from the Champions League holders.
