Outspoken QPR midfielder Joey Barton has been busy piping up on a matter that doesn’t concern him once again, offering his opinion on Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli.

The QPR midfielder and part-time philosopher took to Twitter (where else?) to offer his thoughts on the Italian striker.

He tweeted during last night’s Capital One Cup tie with Middlesbrough: ‘Balotelli? He is the biggest myth in World football the fella. Fair play to him he’s had everyones trolleys down…

‘People now realising just how good Luis Suarez was. I mean how do you replace that quality? Certainly not with MB. He does take a mean peno!’

Balotelli and Barton have history, with the pair clashing during Manchester City’s title decider back in 2012, when Barton was shown a red card for violent conduct.

Balotelli has scored one goal since his arrival at Anfield, and buried two penalties during last night’s dramatic 14-13 shootout victory over Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup.
