Liverpool are set to reward Daniel Sturridge for his outstanding performances for the club, with a bumper new contract, according to the Express.
Sturridge has been a revelation since signing for the Reds in January 2013, and already has 35 goals to his name for the club in just a season-and-a-half.
And reports suggest the Reds are ready to offer the 25-year-old a deal that would see him double his current wages, with an offer of £140,000 a week.
Sturridge could well be offered a new contract at the same time as Raheem Sterling, with the Reds also eager to tie the 19-year-old down to an improved deal.
Sturridge looks likely to miss Liverpool’s clash with Aston Villa on Saturday after injuring his thigh on international duty.
