Spanish playmaker Suso is the latest Liverpool player to heap praise on manager Brendan Rodgers, according to the clubs official website.
Despite being yet to make a Premier League appearance this term, the 20-year-old has gone on record to say he relishes each training session under Rodgers, as it reminds him of a system implemented back in his native Spain.
“I look at him and I see him as similar to a Spanish coach because all the work we do in training is with the ball,” Suso told explained.
“Every time he asks us to do something it’s with the ball. He wants us to play with the ball, never play a long ball and for me that’s really good because that’s my philosophy. When I go away with Spain it’s more or less the same.
“He has done really well since he came here. When he first came he had to change some things and improve the team, which takes a long time, but now we can see all the things he was working with in the past is working now.
“It’s a Spanish philosophy to play; you always want the ball, don’t lose it and give it to the opposition. It’s really good for me and the team.”
