Mario Balotelli has gone some way to endearing himself to Liverpool supporters, after posting a quote from Bill Shankly on his Instagram account.
Balotelli has courted plenty of interest since completing his £16million move from AC Milan, but looks to be enjoying his time at Anfield so far judging by his social media posts.
He showed he is willing to embrace the culture of the city by photoshopping his face onto a picture of the Beatles following his arrival, and his latest post suggests something similar.
The quote reads: ‘This is a team of skill and character, with men eager and ready to do any job if it’s for the benefit of the club.
‘No one is asked to do more than anyone else.
We are a team. We share the ball, we share the game, we share the worries.’
Shankly managed the Reds between 1959 to 1974, winning three League titles and setting the platform for decades of success at both home and abroad.
If Mario can follow Shankly’s mantra on the pitch, we may have got ourselves another special centre forward!
