Glen Johnson has revealed he is yet to open talks over a new contract with Liverpool, despite entering the final 12 months of his current deal, reports the Express.

The England international is one of the highest paid players at Anfield, earning a reported £110,000 a week.

And with the Reds reluctant to offer a deal of similar proportions to a 30-year-old, Johnson admits he could start looking for a new club as early as January.

“There are no talks going on with the club at the moment,” Johnson said.”There were minor talks towards the end of last season but nothing else.”I’ve loved playing my football here from day one, but obviously I can only talk to the club about it when they want to speak to me.

“In January, I could (talk to other clubs), but I’ll worry about that when January comes.”

Would you like to see Glen Johnson offered a new contract? Or has his time at the club come to an end? Let us know your thoughts below.

January, we have to wait till January, Can’t he start looking now and go before Mondays deadline, its a shame the club are going to have to pay him £440,000 a month for the next 4 months or more at least.
