Reds Defender Tiago Ilori is on the brink of completing a season-long loan deal to French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux according to various reports including The Daily Mail.
The speedy Portuguese centre back joined Liverpool in the 2013 summer transfer window from Sporting Lisbon before spending last season on loan at Granada. In Spain he made a total of 9 first team appearances.
It had been rumoured earlier in the transfer window that Ilori would be loaned to Germany and Borussia Dortmund but it now appears France is the desired destination. The 21 year old was pictured in the stands at Stade Chaban-Delmas watching Bordeaux romp to a 4-1 victory over Monaco.
Tiago Ilori is considered a future star by Brendan Rodgers and this prompted the Northern Irish manager to make a £7million move for the defender last summer.
