Radamel Falcao would consider swapping Monaco for Liverpool on a year long loan basis should the Anfield club pay him an enormous 200k-a-week in wages.

The news, from The Sunday and Daily Express, would see the Columbian join for a year and would surely whip Liverpool fans into a frenzy. The Reds got off to a winning start in yesterday’s Premier League opener versus Southampton at Anfield and despite goals from Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge sealing a 2-1 win, a below par overall performance further compounded media insistence that the club will severely Luis Suarez. However, the potential arrival of a global superstar such as Falcao would go a long way in putting to bed such suggestions.

Falcao scored 10 goals in an injury-blighted season for Monaco last year after sealing a sensational £52million move from Spanish side Atletico Madrid in 2013 where he hit 52 goals in 67 La Liga appearances.

Any future deal would be a significant coup for the club and although it remains unlikely, the latest news that the forward would be open to such a switch will only fuel the rumours further. Brendan Rodgers has recently confirmed that the club are still in the market for an attacking player having missed out on Alexis Sanchez and deciding against signing Loic Rémy at the last minute.

How do you feel about a potential move for Radamel Falcao? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

When he’s fit it’s a nightmare for any defence but will he actually recapture his previous form after that horrid injury? It’s an expensive gamble for us to take.

If Liverpool eventually miss out on the deadly striker, it will be difficult for us to find a good replacement for Louis Suarez. If Liverpool can pay Suarez above 200k a week while can’t we afford to get our star man. Rodgers sign falcao for us

    • Let Facao be the man for the Reds this time ,,, We neewd his services Liverpool paid Suarez 200k plus why not Facao the destroyer Bosses of Liverpool should consider this move urgently

This is all irrelevant now. Balotelli gonna happen in next 48 hours!
    Sweet as a nut!!

  15. emmy says:

Falcao is a good player buh y waste over 12million to sign him on loan and pay him that much we he’s not gonna be with us for long. Go for Balotelli or Cavani instead.

  16. emmy says:

We need a striker that will stay for more than a season. We sign him on loan for a season then next season we’re right back to where we started looking for another striker.

balloteli is a good signing but we still need falcao to strengthen our attack
