Liverpool have been told they can sign Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao for a fee of £24million, reports the Metro.

The Reds are reported to have opened talks over a possible deal for the 19-year-old, as the hunt for Luis Suarez’s replacement continues.

Keita is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in Italy, with Sky Italia claiming the Reds had a £15.8million bid rejected earlier in the week.

Brendan Rodgers has not given up on his pursuit of the forward however, and has been told he can have him for £24million by Lazio.

Keita – a former Barcelona youth team player – has scored five times in 23 matches for Lazio, and has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Are you dumb? Have you not learned YET that only idiots rehash anything that the metro publish. Divvy!

He might be an up and coming youngster, but 24 million for an untried and untested 19 year old is way too much. Add to that only 5 goals in 23 games. He does not exactly light up the field does he? He might be one for later, but certainly not for now.
