Liverpool are close to completing the signings of Spanish full backs Alberto Moreno and Javier Manquillo, according to the Daily Star.

Reds managing director Ian Ayre is understood to have flown out to Spain to complete the double swoop.

Brendan Rodgers has been chasing highly rated Sevilla left back Moreno for the majority of the summer, and looked to have given up on a deal when the Europa League winners demanded a fee of £20million.

However the deal now looks to be back on, with Moreno keen on making the switch to L4.

Manquillo meanwhile, looks set to join his fellow Spaniard on a two-year-loan deal from Atletico Madrid, with the option of a permanent signing.

The 20-year-old right back is highly rated in Spain, but has struggled for regular first team football with the La Liga champions.

With 21-year-old Moreno set to cost in the region of £16million, his signing would take Brendan Rodgers summer spending beyond the £100million mark.

The Reds boss has so far completed the signings of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren from Southampton, whilst Emre Can, Lazar Markovic and Divock Origi have all been signed from European clubs.

Would you be happy with the signings of Moreno and Manquillo? With Johnson, Flanagan, Enrique and Kelly already at the club, which full backs would you like to see start the season? Let us know your thoughts below.
