It is being reported in the Mirror that Chelsea will not left their out of favour left back Ryan Bertrand join Liverpool as they are ‘upset’ with the way Victor Moses has been treated whilst on loan at Anfield.

The report states:

Liverpool may be thwarted in their attempts to sign Chelsea’s out-of-favour Ryan Bertrand in January.

Chelsea are understood to be less than impressed with the way Victor Moses’
loan at Liverpool has progressed.

The winger, who is spending the season with the Anfield giants, has started only six Premier League matches for Liverpool and was even substituted at half-time against League One Oldham in Sunday’s FA Cup win.

Bertrand is likely to be allowed to leave the west Londoners in January, but relations between the two clubs over transfers may mean that he will miss out on a move to the Reds.

For me, this has a hint of Chelsea growing fears of Liverpool as a major contender in the league. It is well documented that left back is one of Liverpool’s weak positions and if it gets strengthened then the Reds will have a much better team.

Ryan Bertrand is a very talented player and he is getting a raw deal by not getting a chance to play at Chelsea. He is already 24-years old and should be playing regular football now at this stage in his career. He would certainly benefit from joining Liverpool as he would get much more game time and have a chance of being the first choice left back ahead of Jose Enrique, Aly Cissokho and Jon Flanagan.

What does not make sense for me with this report is how Chelsea can be upset with Liverpool for Victor Moses’ form. The Nigerian forward is on loan from Chelsea for the season and he has not impressed at all this term. You can not blame his lack of form purely on Liverpool as Moses has failed to impress each time he has been given a chance. On Sunday in the FA Cup, Brendan Rodgers gave Moses a start but he was shockingly bad and had to be taken off at half-time. Moses simply has to go back to Chelsea when his loan spell is over as there is no point signing him on permanently.

I get the feeling that Jose Mourinho and Chelsea are scared to sell Bertrand to Liverpool as he could go onto to become a major hit at Anfield like Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge left Chelsea last January after not being given enough opportunities at the London club but he has gone on to be a major hit at Anfield. This goes to show that some players just need to be given a chance to play and they will prove themselves.

Bertrand is not being given a chance at Chelsea, Liverpool want him, Chelsea are upset with Liverpool for many reasons, so how will this all end? Watch this space!

If Liverpool want the player, let them make an offer for him, instead of holding out the begging bowl to have him for free.
Do you even begin to see the utter stupidity of criticising Chelsea for deciding they are not going to Liverpool free players?
Have some pride and stop groveling to Chelsea for free replacements for your own poor players. Stand up on your own two feet and pay your way. If your owners can’t be bothered to strengthen your team by paying what a player like Bertrand costs, don’t cry to Chelsea about it. Stop begging, you beggars.

I’m not surprised Chelsea is afraid of Liverpool.
Liverpool is so good, it has won the exact same number of Premiership titles in its history as Milton Keynes Dons, Brentford, Colchester, Crystal Palace, Torquay and Exeter.
