Mohamed Salah is set to join a Premier League team this week according to former Egypt and USA national team coach Bob Bradley.

21-year old Salah has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this January transfer window.

“I was saying yesterday that in Egypt, a great success story in the last two years is a young player called Mohamed Salah,” Bradley said.

“He left and we helped him to leave Egypt first to FC Basel, and from what I read and hear, in the coming days you will see his name again because I think it will be a big transfer to a Premiership team.”

Tottenham are also being linked with a move for Salah who could be making the transfer from Basel for £7million. This transfer fee could prove to be a snip for a player who is being dubbed as the Egyptian Messi and has caught the eye of many clubs across Europe.

Liverpool have had great success in the previous January transfer window by bringing in Coutinho and Sturridge. Signing Salah would be another great move for the Reds as he would be able to come in and make an immediate impact on the Liverpool starting eleven.

Hopefully Bradley’s thoughts that Salah will join a Premier League side this week are accurate and the team he joins is Liverpool. It would be a major blow to miss out on Salah espcially to Spurs who went on a massive shopping spree in the summer.

On what bases should we evaluate Salah buy?…

I guess he is a must buy type of player, only 21 with loads of potential. Excellent scoring& assist Record for a Winger with Basel more than 20 Goals and 15 assists in less than a year,, 17 goals for his country from 25 games ..he proved it in the CL against Chelsea scoring twice. Exceptional performance against Tottenham in the EL and another one against Brazil in the Olympics . He is the main reason for success at Basel, on the domestic level and even with their performance in CL was not so bad, he was awarded by CAF as the best African young talent 2012, and at the end of 2013 he was awarded the best player in Switzerland. That’s why the big giants in Europe are all chasing him, he is way faster and stronger than Sterling and better finisher than Coutinho, excellent injury record (consistency). I believe Its part of BR job to develop him further… the way Ferguson did it with many less quality players and they became super stars today.
