Where does one even start to try and review Liverpool’s 5-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday? This was arguably the best performance we have seen from Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers and many of the players had their best ever game in a Liverpool shirt.

Some may say that Spurs were poor and that they were made even worse by the red card issued to Paulinho in the second half but take nothing away from the brilliance of the Reds. From the first minute we were miles better than Spurs in all departments.

Picking a man of the match is not easy for this one as everyone played well. Jordan Henderson got the man of the match award after the game which was awarded to him by captain of the day Luis Suarez, but as fans, we all have our own take on who should have gotten the award.

Looking at the players who really stood out on Sunday; Luis Suarez was at his fine best again with two great goals. It seems like being given the captains armband did not change him one bit as he just continued to do what he does well which is score goals.

Jordan Henderson was a mountain in the side and put in an excellent display as a box-to-box midfielder. We have been crying out for a dynamic midfielder and based on Hendo’s display against Spurs, we may finally have found that kind of player.

Joe Allen also had a great shift as his high pressing caused Spurs many problems. Are we finally starting to see the best of Joe Allen now? Mention too for Raheem Sterling who is getting better with each passing game. He still has a lot to learn and he is achieving that by playing more as he looks a great threat down the right. Daniel Sturridge is going to have a fight on his hands to get back into the side when he is fit again.

And what about young Jon Flanagan? Yet again, another solid display for the left back who capped it off with his first Liverpool goal which was a cracker.

It is now up to you to vote for your man of the match:
