Liverpool are said to be interested in signing Barcelona forward Pedro according to the Daily Express. This really is transfer speculation silly season as we get closer to the January window and you can be sure that more and more strikers are going to be linked with a move to the Reds following the injury to Daniel Sturridge.

It is being suggested that Pedro is unhappy with the lack of playing time at Barcelona and he wants to play more regularly in a bid to secure his place in the Spanish side for the upcoming World Cup.

Pedro has a £125million buyout clause which I am sure Liverpool, nor any other club would meet for the 26-year old. A loan move may turn out to be the best possible option as that way, Liverpool are able to bring in a quality player to help our push for the top four in the second half of the season whilst Pedro himself gets some guaranteed game time to secure his place on the plane to Brazil.

Arsenal are reportedly also interested in Pedro as they too are looking to bring in a new striker in January.

Pedro is not an out-and-out striker like Sturridge but he would certainly offer us more attacking options as he is able to drift in from either flanks and score goals.

What Liverpool really need right now is an orthodox number 9 who will come in and fire in the goals straight away and not these wide forward players who can also score goals.

Can liverpool afford him ? if we does will he come? We need a striker who can replace sturriage but if we can’t we be at 7th position.

come january, we should send sterling out on loan and bring pedro on loan cos its hard to buy him. then buy another striker of top quality. If pedro comes then top4 is assured i guess so.
