There has been a lot of talking amongst Liverpool fans in the last 24 hours about Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Hull on Sunday. There is no doubt it was a terrible result and it is teams like Hull we must be beating if we are to make a serious run for a top four finish.
A lot of blame for the defeat to Hull was placed on Brendan Rodgers and the Liverpool manager has stood up today (Monday) at his pre-Norwich press conference and accepted to take the blame for the defeat.
BR: "If there is anyone to blame then blame me as the manager. Ultimately its down to the manager."

Blame was also put on Victor Moses and Raheem Sterling for their poor displays against Hull but the Liverpool boss took the blame away from them and protected his players, saying that the blame should lay with him.
What I loved about that press conference was that Rodgers stood up and took the blame for the loss. He protected the players. Top manager.

Rodgers could have easily said Sterling and Moses didn't perform up to standards except he took the blame and the heat off them. Brilliant!

The important thing now for Liverpool is to bounce back against Norwich on Wednesday night, not only with a win but with a good performance so that confidence comes back to the players, staff and fans.
There is good news on the injury front going into the Norwich game. Brendan Rodgers has declared that Coutinho is fit to play against Norwich as he trained this morning.
BR on Coutinho: "We'll be fine for Wednesday, he trained this morning."

Brendan Rodgers told his pre-match press conference: “Philippe will be fine.
“He’s had no further reaction from the game yesterday. He’s trained this morning, so all being well he’ll be fit.”
I am sure Coutinho will start, coming in for Raheem Sterling and maybe Iago Aspas will be given a start upfront with Luis Suarez?
Thanks to @RedsOrDead for keeping us up to date with Rodgers’ pre-Norwich press conference.
