With the news that Jose Enrique is set to be out for 10 weeks following his knee surgery, Brendan Rodgers now has to decide how he moves forward with the left back position.
We have taken a look at 6 options that the Liverpool manager has going forward until Enrique is fit again:
1) Aly Cissokho
Cissokho was signed from Valencia in the summer on loan and the French left back has featured for Liverpool already but has not had the best of starts. Cissokho seems to be too one dimensional in that he can not use his right foot at all and he has struggled going forward when called upon.
Cissokho was playing at left wing back in the 3-5-2 formation which requires him to provide the width in the side, he clearly struggled in that department.
Maybe now that Rodgers has switched back to four at the back, Cissokho may feel more comfortable there and produce the form he showed at Valencia.
