Liverpool welcome Fulham to Anfield on Saturday in a match which will see current Premier League starlet Pajtim Kasami returning to Liverpool, a club he almost signed for.

Kasami has caught the eye of many in the Premier League this season with his fine form for Fulham coupled with his wonder goal against Crystal Palace.

The 21-year old rising star had an eight month trial spell at Liverpool but it did not end well as he explains. Kasami said: “It went well but I had some problems with my documents because I was very young.

“I have fond memories of my time up there. I met a lot of good people. I played two friendlies for the reserves, with players like Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso.

“I am looking forward to going back up there.”

There is no telling where the Swiss player could be now if he had managed to get his papers in order and stayed on at Liverpool.

It will be interesting to see how well Kasami performs on Saturday in a game that Liverpool should win. The Reds will be looking to bounce back from the defeat at Arsenal and get three much needed points in the quest for Champions League football.

One thing we certainly will not be hoping for is for Kasami to score another goal like the one against Crystal Palace below.

We should try sign him back. Kid looks very good and a potential star. I hate the fact we let some of these great kids go like Ince and we keep the likes of Spearing and Flanagan.
