Liverpool have announced that Christian Poulsen has been allowed to leave Liverpool and join French side Evian Thonon Gaillard.

The statement on Liverpoolfc.tv read:
“Liverpool FC have tonight confirmed that they have reached agreement with Evian Thonon Gaillard for the transfer of Christian Poulsen.

The French side have now been given permission to talk to the Denmark international.”

Now it is just a matter of Poulsen agreeing terms with Evian before his departure is sealed. In my opinion, I will not be sad to see Poulsen leave. He never seemed good enough to play for Liverpool ever since he was signed last summer by Roy Hodgson from Juventus.
